How it Works
Dog Owners:
- Register as a dog owner. The only details we need are:
- a rough idea of where you live (e.g. a postcode) - to help us put you in touch with walkers in your area
- your email address - so we can pass on any contact enquiries from walkers.
- a description of your dog(s).
Potential walkers will need to know the size and fitness of your dog.
You can also include any other details you think might be of interest, such as temperament,
times when available for walks, etc.
- Wait for a walker to contact you.
- If you're lucky enough to have all your excess dog walking needs met,
you can hide your details so no one else will contact you.
Your registration can remain hidden indefinitely.
You can always re-enable your account (without having to start from scratch) if you ever need more dog walking help.
You can also unregister completely at any time.
Note: we never reveal your email address to potential dog walkers.
Only when you're happy to reply directly to a walker will they get to know your email address,
or you may prefer to use the telephone at this stage. Prior to gaining that level of trust,
you can reply to the potential walker via our website to keep your identity private.
Walkers:
- Search for dog owners in your neighbourhood, or in an area where you go walking.
- Nothing suitable yet?
If you register, we can send you an email when dog owners register in your area.
- If you find an owner and you like the description of their dog(s), make contact via our website.
You'll need to be registered at this stage.
All we need is your email address and a name.
Your email address will be revealed to the dog owners you contact, in case they wish to email you back directly.
You need to start building trust with the dog owner, so best to register with your real name.
- Correspond with the dog owner (via this website or by email).
If things sound promising, arrange to meet the owner and take it from there.
